I belong to a NHW scheme and apart from the usual parking problems we have been plagued for some time by graffiti artist and it appears that nearlly every wall or available surface is covered in the unsightly scribble. We have complained to the local authority and to the local Police but to no avail. We are thinking of now setting up a team of volunteers to go round the area and pait out this unsightly mess but do not know how we stang legally. Would we be adding to the criminal damage already caused. No one seems to ne able to tell us. I have heard about anti vandal paint that once painted on a surface resists graffiti but our local authority claims it is much to expensive and outside their budget limitations. Has anyone found a reasonable solution to this increasing problem
Scars on my neighbourhood

I spent last weekend putting up a fence for my back garden that adjoins a public footpath. This morning I walked up the path and was devastated to find it covered in ugly, idiotic and senseless graffiti. I spend most of my free time helping out at the local youth club and other community associations - this senseless attack really hurts.

Our Neighbourhood Watch Group covers only a few houses,at the end of our village,Our crime rate is,(thankfully),very low, apart from a few 'Boy Racers',and youths using the bus shelter as a drinking den,and a 'knocking shop' behind it! When we call the Police, theres never anyone available to attend, wether its vandalism of O.A.P.'s properties, or Motorcycles tearing around the park! There is only so much a N.W.G. can do,but we DO need the back up of the Police! - We have even had our sign stolen!!

My car got done up yet again last fri night, and incredibly enough no one sees or hears anything, bare in mind i live in a so called neighbourhood watch scheme area, this is the 3rd time in 5 years i've been a victim of crime,i dont even associate with anyone in my neighbourhood,i simply keep myself to myself and just mind my own business.the street lights are so poor that a candle would light brighter, cant afford to rent a garage and the law prevents me from taking the law in my own hands, hardly a good incentive I'd say.so if anyone got any suggestions i'd welcome them but i dont wanna hear from any do-gooders as they are to blame for most of the crime problems in this country.

I've had my front number plate stolen. No CCTV though it is rumoured to be going in shortly!

I had my bike stolen from the railway station last Friday. What advice can I give? Park in full view of the CCTV.
