Hi
Does anyone know if there are any other deterrents currently on the market to combat diesel theft other than devices to secure taps, etc?

Incidents of diesel theft are on the rise in the Scarborough District and surrounding areas of Ryedale. Theft is from tanks and/or vehicles
Anyone who owns a diesel (or oil) tank is urged to check your tank regularly and take adequate precautions to protect your tank
There are good tank locks on the market for lorries and wagons and CCTV or stand-alone sensor alarm systems are a very good deterrent

I am a reseller and installer of innovative devices to stop crime.
This year we brought on to the market a movement sensor and digital camera combined that takes a short video of what tripped the sensor.
What makes this different is the total lack of cables. The whole system (which can take up to 20 cameras) uses batteries that have a min 2 year life, wireless technology between control panel and sensors and immediately sends the information to an alarm receiving centre. If the video shows a crime in progress the police can be contacted.
Equipment can be placed outdoors and is therefore totaly mobile.
How does this help? Tanks/vehicles parked in remote places where running cables would be expensive/impractical can now be protected.
